Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Administrative Support Officer to join our dynamic team within the medical sector. This part-time role, requiring commitment for three days a week, offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your contributions will be valued.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and confidential administrative service to our medical department, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols. Your main duties will include:

  • Providing essential support to the medical secretarial team, including the preparation of clinical documentation such as letters and reports.
  • Managing appointment scheduling, including booking, rescheduling, and confirming patient visits.
  • Handling incoming inquiries via telephone, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Assisting colleagues during periods of absence, ensuring continuity of service.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with patient coding requirements.

Training will be provided to familiarize you with our internal systems and processes.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong background in administrative roles, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  • Proficiency in typing and a good command of medical terminology.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff alike.
