Position Summary: We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to provide vital administrative support within a prestigious international law firm. This role is based in a hybrid working environment at the London office, where the successful candidate will collaborate closely with the HR team, including the Head of HR and HR Manager, to support a workforce of 300 staff and Partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain precise records in the HR Information System (Workday) for new hires, departures, and internal transfers.
  • Draft HR communications using DocuSign, such as probation completion letters and reference requests.
  • Work alongside the Payroll department to facilitate payroll and benefits adjustments.
  • Assist with visa application processes and renewals in coordination with our Immigration Advisor.
  • Oversee the offboarding process, ensuring proper documentation and holiday confirmations.
  • Manage HR content on the intranet and support performance appraisal initiatives.
  • Assist in the annual salary and bonus review processes.
  • Handle queries related to holidays, year-end holiday calculations, and sickness absence records.
  • Oversee e-filing, staff gifts, and new parent hampers.
  • Develop proficiency in Workday, identifying and implementing new processes to enhance functionality.
  • Manage invoice processing and participate in various project tasks as needed.

Lateral Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Coordinate with recruitment agencies and manage interview schedules.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process, including background checks and medical assessments.
  • Organize induction sessions and ensure IT equipment is prepared for new hires.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 18 months of relevant experience, preferably within the legal or professional services sector.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience in HR databases.
  • An innovative approach and a dedication to providing outstanding client service.
