This position involves working 33.5 hours per week, with a pay rate of £12 per hour, and includes split shift responsibilities.
The primary responsibility of this role is to safely transport and assist individuals with disabilities and sensory impairments, ensuring a caring and professional experience.
- Safely transporting passengers with care and compassion.
- Assisting passengers with their travel needs, including preparation for the journey and ensuring their comfort and safety during transit.
- Guaranteeing that passengers arrive at their destinations safely during group outings.
- Collaborating effectively with the Passenger Assistant (if available) to provide quality service.
- Operating the vehicle's passenger lift to facilitate boarding and alighting.
- Ensuring the proper use of seatbelts, wheelchair clamps, and other specialized equipment for passenger safety.
- Conducting vehicle inspections, fueling, and cleaning in accordance with Integrated Transport protocols.
- Completing necessary documentation as required by Integrated Transport guidelines.
- Performing additional driving and attendant responsibilities as needed.
