Job Summary:

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Care Home Manager to join our team. As a Deputy Care Home Manager, you will play a key role in the management of a care home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality person-centred care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Care Plans: Develop and implement evidence-based individualised care packages, therapeutic interventions, and individualised activity programmes to meet the unique needs of our residents.
  • Lead and Supervise Teams: Lead and supervise the support and nursing teams to deliver the highest standards of person-centred care, using clinical governance and personal development.
  • Staff Management and Development: Recognise areas concerning sickness management, staff training and development, and coaching and mentoring. You will have an effective way of communicating with your team.
  • Communication and Engagement: Communicate and engage effectively with our service users, their families, and colleagues, using good interpersonal and working relationship skills.
  • Disability and Health Care Needs: Understand the disabilities, health, and social care needs of our residents and assist those who have mobility or continence needs, using the appropriate aids and equipment.
  • Personal Hygiene and Care: Provide appropriate levels of care and support to ensure that personal hygiene needs are met.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a similar setting.
  • Elderly Care Experience: Experience of supporting the elderly.
  • Person-Centred Care Knowledge: A strong knowledge of person-centred care.
  • CIW/CQC Standards: Good working knowledge of CIW/CQC standards and the Health and Social Act 2008.
  • Health and Safety: Essential to be Health and Safety aware, to ensure the safety of our service users and colleagues.
