Job Summary:

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Care Home Manager to join our team. As a Deputy Care Home Manager, you will play a key role in managing a care home in the Newtown area, working for one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.

About the Role:

This care home offers a range of care plans in a warm and safe setting, providing tailored care to individuals with dementia, convalescence, and palliative care needs. As the Deputy Care Home Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and Implementing Care Plans: You will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based individualized care packages, therapeutic interventions, and activity programs that meet the unique needs of our service users.
  • Leadership and Supervision: You will lead and supervise the support and nursing teams to deliver the highest standards of person-centred care, using clinical governance and your own personal development.
  • Staff Management and Development: You will recognize areas concerning sickness management, staff training and development, and coaching and mentoring. You will have an effective way of communicating with your team.
  • Communication and Engagement: You will communicate and engage effectively with our service users, their families, and colleagues, using good interpersonal and working relationship skills.
  • Disability and Health Care Needs: You will have an understanding of the disabilities, health, and social care needs of service users and assist those who have mobility or continence needs, using the appropriate aids and equipment.
  • Personal Hygiene and Care: You will provide appropriate levels of care and support to ensure that personal hygiene needs are met.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a similar setting.
  • Experience of supporting the elderly.
  • A strong knowledge of person-centred care.
  • Good working knowledge of CIW/CQC standards and the Health and Social Act 2008.
  • Essential to be Health and Safety aware, to ensure the safety of our service users and colleagues.

What We Offer:

The successful Deputy Care Home Manager will receive an excellent salary of £16.64 per hour and the annual salary is £31,150.08 per annum.
