Role Overview

The Retail Duty Manager is a critical role at LaplandUK, responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences through managing our retail operations and teams. This includes overseeing the day-to-day activities of our retail stores, ensuring that our teams are fully trained and engaged, and driving sales and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

**Planning and Preparation**

  • Develop and implement retail strategies to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Ensure that our retail stores are fully stocked and staffed, and that our teams are fully briefed and trained in their roles.

**Operational Excellence**

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail stores, including set-up and closing duties, maintenance of cleanliness and visual standards, and reporting of maintenance issues.
  • Ensure that our front-of-house areas are clean and well-presented at all times.

**Guest Experience**

  • Provide exceptional guest experiences through warm and personalized service, following our company procedures and protocols.
  • Train our teams to link-sell products and services, enhancing the guest experience and driving sales.

**HR and Development**

  • Conduct ongoing training and coaching to maintain service quality and improve team morale.
  • Manage disciplinary issues and staff grievances in accordance with company policies and procedures.

**Loss Prevention**

  • Ensure that all stock movements are properly recorded and that stock wastage is minimized and properly accounted for.
  • Ensure that our company processes are followed for handling sensitive information and that our teams are aware of and adhere to loss prevention policies.

**Essential Qualifications and Experience**

  • Previous experience in a retail management role, with a proven track record of driving sales and revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership and operational skills, with the ability to influence and engage teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and strategies.
