Position Overview:
The HVAC Work Pack Engineer plays a vital role within the construction team, focusing on the HVAC engineering components of construction work packs. This position requires a thorough understanding of HVAC systems and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of HVAC tasks in line with project requirements and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work Pack Development:
    Collaborate with project managers and relevant stakeholders to create comprehensive construction Work Pack documentation for HVAC systems. Ensure that these work packs include all necessary details such as drawings, specifications, procedures, plans, permits, and method statements essential for the successful execution of HVAC construction.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Provide expert knowledge in HVAC engineering by drafting Construction Work Pack documents that comply with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications. Proactively address and resolve any HVAC engineering issues that may arise during the construction phase.
  • Project Coordination:
    Work in conjunction with other engineering disciplines to guarantee the integration of HVAC systems within the broader project framework, supporting the delivery of Construction Work Pack objectives.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Implement and uphold quality assurance measures to maintain the highest standards in HVAC construction documentation. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and other pertinent industry standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    Keep precise and current records related to HVAC construction work pack activities. Communicate any issues or concerns regarding upcoming tasks to the Work Pack Lead Engineer.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A degree in HVAC Engineering or a related discipline, ideally with practical experience and minimum trade qualifications.
  • Proven experience in drafting Construction Work Packs.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and standards.
  • Extensive background in HVAC engineering, particularly in construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using Navisworks and MS Office Software.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Understanding of UK nuclear site license conditions.
  • Experience working on construction sites.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Problem-solving skills with the capacity to make decisions under pressure.
  • Commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project demands.
