We are looking for a proficient and seasoned Senior HVAC Systems Engineer to become a part of our team within the nuclear industry. The ideal candidate will be tasked with the design, installation, maintenance, and optimization of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems in our nuclear facilities. This position is vital for ensuring the environmental control and safety of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Design and Development
    • Craft HVAC systems customized to the specific needs of nuclear facilities, ensuring peak performance and safety.
    • Create comprehensive engineering plans, specifications, and drawings for HVAC installations.
  • Installation and Commissioning
    • Supervise the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications and regulatory standards.
    • Conduct system testing and validation to confirm proper operation.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting
    • Establish and execute preventive maintenance programs for HVAC systems.
    • Identify and resolve HVAC system issues to guarantee continuous and efficient operation.
  • System Optimization
    • Evaluate HVAC system performance and pinpoint opportunities for efficiency enhancements.
    • Implement modifications and upgrades to improve system reliability and minimize energy consumption.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure all HVAC engineering activities align with national and international nuclear safety regulations and standards.
    • Prepare and maintain necessary documentation and reports for regulatory authorities.
  • Project Management
    • Oversee HVAC engineering projects from inception to completion, including budget oversight and timeline management.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contractors to ensure project success.
  • Risk Management
    • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for HVAC systems.
    • Implement safety protocols and procedures to safeguard personnel and equipment.
  • Technical Support
    • Provide technical assistance and guidance to other engineering teams and departments.
    • Support the evaluation and selection of HVAC equipment and materials.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices in HVAC engineering.
    • Stay updated with advancements in HVAC technology and industry standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related discipline. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified HVAC Designer, Professional Engineer (PE)) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of HVAC engineering experience, ideally within the nuclear industry or a similarly regulated environment.
  • Skills:

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
