Fire & Security Project Engineer

Marlowe Fire & Security, a key player in the fire and security sector, is seeking to enhance its workforce with the recruitment of a seasoned Project Engineer.

Role Overview

The Project Engineer will be responsible for the technical engineering, installation, and management of both small and large-scale projects within the Marlowe portfolio. This role involves meticulous planning and oversight of project timelines and commissioning activities. The successful candidate will collaborate with essential clients to ensure project milestones are met while upholding profitability, health, safety, and quality standards as per company guidelines.

  • Deliver projects punctually and within financial constraints
  • Maintain adherence to project schedules
  • Coordinate cost documentation with the purchasing team
  • Organize and oversee labor and materials necessary for project execution
  • Assign engineering documentation to team members and ensure proper commissioning post-project completion
  • Provide technical support as needed throughout project phases
  • Participate in site meetings as required
  • Supervise engineers and subcontractors as designated, including managing personnel
  • Oversee profitability of assigned projects and report to the project manager
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site
  • Perform installation and commissioning of systems and minor works as necessary
  • Uphold Marlowe's quality and health, safety, and environmental standards

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the fire and security sector
  • Experience managing engineering projects across multiple locations
  • Technical proficiency with major systems and projects
  • Strong technical background complemented by excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed to ensure project completion while adhering to health and safety protocols
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • A motivated and enthusiastic individual who embraces challenges
