Building Services Engineer

Location: Orkney

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to become a vital part of our team in Orkney.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute scheduled, urgent, and supplementary tasks within educational and community facilities, encompassing minor repairs, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
  • Interpret and analyze engineering schematics and architectural plans.
  • Assess reported issues, generate documentation, and relay findings to the Customer Service Team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and subcontractors to ensure prompt completion of assignments.
  • Deliver all work to exceptional quality standards and in a proficient manner.
  • Document all tasks in a timely fashion.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in a building services capacity.
  • Strong Customer Service orientation.
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or equivalent training.
  • Prior experience working collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work demands.
  • PASMA certification (Desirable).
  • IPAF certification (Desirable).
  • Ability to pass an Acceptable Disclosure Check (Essential).
  • Valid UK Driving License.
