We are pleased to present a remarkable opportunity for a skilled Infrastructure Section Engineer to become part of a dedicated team focused on the design and implementation of a high voltage alternating current (HVAC) transmission system.

This system is designed to efficiently transmit a minimum of 220MW of electrical power.

Your Responsibilities:
Situated at the newly established substation in Finstown, Orkney, with accommodation and travel expenses provided by the contractor.

Core Duties:
1. Supervise and manage engineering activities, ensuring they are completed within the designated timeframe and budget.
2. Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other engineering teams to enhance operational efficiency.
3. Formulate and execute comprehensive engineering plans, ensuring adherence to all applicable standards and regulations.
4. Track and report on project advancements, proactively addressing any challenges that may arise.
5. Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors to facilitate seamless project execution.
6. Uphold all health, safety, and environmental protocols on-site.
7. Conduct regular site evaluations and inspections, ensuring high-quality control standards are maintained.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience as a Section Engineer or in a comparable position, ideally within large-scale infrastructure initiatives.
• Strong grasp of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and project oversight.
• Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
• A valid CSCS card and pertinent health and safety certifications.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
