We are pleased to announce a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Infrastructure Section Specialist to become part of a dedicated team focused on the design and implementation of a high voltage alternating current (HVAC) transmission system.

This innovative system is designed to transmit a minimum of 220MW of power.

Your Role:
This position is based at a newly established substation in Orkney. The contractor will cover accommodation and travel expenses.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage engineering activities, ensuring they are completed within the agreed timelines and budget.
2. Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other engineering teams to enhance operational efficiency.
3. Formulate and execute comprehensive engineering plans, ensuring adherence to all applicable standards and regulations.
4. Track and report on project milestones, proactively addressing any challenges that may arise.
5. Engage with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors to facilitate effective communication and project execution.
6. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
7. Conduct regular inspections and audits to uphold high quality control standards.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience as a Section Engineer or in a comparable position, ideally within large-scale infrastructure initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and project management practices.
- Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
- A valid CSCS card along with necessary health and safety certifications.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
