Role Overview

We are expanding our training team and are seeking a dedicated Nurse Trainer for our Purley location. The ideal candidate will possess the passion and determination to enhance patient care while embodying the core values of Fairlie Healthcare in their daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the provision of exceptional care by enhancing the clinical skills of all healthcare staff, including Carers, HCAs, SHCAs, and Nurses, through effective competency assessments and training facilitation.
  • Promote continuous learning and development aligned with our core values, ensuring these principles are integrated into everyday care practices.
  • Support the mandatory training initiatives by assisting management in staff allocation for training sessions, maintaining precise training records, and fostering a culture of training participation.
  • Deliver comprehensive training to aid staff progression from Carer to Senior Healthcare Assistant, focusing on essential competencies such as Tracheostomy, Suctioning, Ventilator, and Cough Assist.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services and Learning & Development Manager to review and enhance competency documentation and training pathways, ensuring they meet the service's needs and current best practices.
  • Ensure that all clinical staff are well-trained and competent to deliver high-quality care while respecting the privacy and dignity of our residents.
  • Identify and promote learning opportunities for staff development, both internally and externally, to support their professional growth.

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide safe and effective patient care.
  • Familiarity with assessing the Care Certificate or similar frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in record-keeping, auditing, and self-evaluation.
