Position Overview

We are expanding our healthcare team and are currently seeking a Clinical Ward Leader. The ideal candidate will possess the enthusiasm and determination to enhance patient care while embodying the core values of Fairlie Healthcare Group in their daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Ward Leader will:

  • Provide prominent leadership to the nursing and care staff, ensuring exceptional care is delivered to patients across the designated ward.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, their families, and external professionals, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that the assessed needs of patients are met, adhering to evidence-based practices as outlined in the Patients Care Plan.
  • Oversee the management of clinical risks and ensure that care plans are regularly updated to reflect current patient needs and comply with legal standards.
  • Mentor and support Registered Nursing Staff, conducting annual appraisals to enhance their professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and assist the Centre Director in maintaining outstanding ratings during inspections.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Proven expertise in Nursing Management, Critical Care Medicine, and Patient Care.
  • Demonstrated experience in nursing and medical settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Prior experience in emergency, intensive, or complex care environments.
  • While a Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification is preferred, Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) or Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities (RNLD) with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in Ventilator and Tracheostomy Care is essential.
  • Leadership experience of at least two years, including responsibilities such as coordinating staff schedules.
