Job Summary

The Fairlie Healthcare Group is seeking an experienced Ward Manager to join our team at our Highfield House care home in Purley, Croydon. As a Ward Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of nursing services, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee nursing staff and manage patient admissions and discharges
  • Implement care plans and maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and their families
  • Coordinate rotas and manage nursing staff
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care

Requirements

  • Nursing Management, Critical Care Medicine, and Patient Care skills
  • Experience in nursing and medicine
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in A&E, ITU, HDU, CCU, Respiratory, or Complex Care settings
  • RGN qualification preferred, but RMN or RNLD candidates with similar experience may also be considered
  • Experience with Ventilator and Tracheostomy Care
  • Leadership experience, ideally with at least 2 years, including responsibilities such as coordinating rotas
