About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Marketing Planning Lead to join our team at Alzheimer's Research UK. As a key member of our Strategic Marketing Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in planning and integrating our marketing programmes to accelerate progress towards a cure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with our organisational goals and objectives.
  • Lead the development of a consolidated marketing plan across owned, shared, earned, and paid media channels.
  • Partner with fundraising, communications, campaigning, digital, brand, and marketing teams to deliver a cohesive marketing approach.
  • Oversee the development of an overarching audience strategy, ensuring buy-in and support from key stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional working groups to ensure goals are met and best practices are implemented.
  • Develop and implement successful new processes and ways of working across multiple teams.
  • Manage and optimize marketing budgets to drive maximum impact and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Strategic thinker with significant experience planning and integrating multi-channel campaigns across various functions.
  • Ability to develop, interpret, and translate business intelligence to inform decision-making.
  • Experience of building and leading diverse teams, establishing resource and skillset requirements, and recruiting and developing talent.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience of leading cross-functional teams to deliver and execute a single plan.
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities to drive the right outcome for the organisation.
  • Experience of working with agencies to get the best out of the relationship.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and digital platforms, with experience of integrating them to drive marketing effectiveness.
  • Exemplary leadership skills, with a practical and strategic vision.
  • Ability to build relationships and inspire confidence and respect at all levels.
  • Excellent listening skills, with a receptive and flexible approach.
  • Influencing skills to ensure a clear understanding of and agreement to the direction of travel across the organisation.

  • Strong work ethic and high level of personal integrity.
