Patient Service Representative

Rural Health Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to join our team at our outpatient primary care clinic in Enfield, North Carolina.
Job Summary:The Patient Service Representative will serve as the first point of contact for patients and families, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors to our facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide warm and welcoming greetings to patients and families, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
- Answer phone calls in a courteous and respectful manner, addressing all needs of the caller and transferring calls as appropriate.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, registering patients, and processing payments.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
- Participate in internal and external educational opportunities to improve front desk and customer service skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience in an outpatient medical office setting required; experience with electronic health records a plus.
- Basic understanding of medical terms and abbreviations required; knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs and medical practice management systems a plus.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
