Patient Service Representative

Rural Health Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Account Specialist to join our team at our outpatient primary care clinic in Enfield, North Carolina.
Job Summary:The Patient Account Specialist will serve as the first point of contact for patients and families, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with patient registration, scheduling, and billing processes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on medical terminology, policies, and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience in an outpatient medical office setting required; electronic health record experience a plus.
- Basic understanding of medical terms and abbreviations; knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs and medical practice management systems a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team environment and maintain confidentiality.
