Role Overview:
As a Train Cleaning Supervisor, you will take charge of a team of cleaning personnel, ensuring the meticulous and efficient cleaning of our train fleet. Your leadership will be vital in upholding the cleanliness and presentation of our trains, adhering to safety standards and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:
Inspire and guide a team of train cleaners, managing schedules, assigning tasks, and providing support to maintain high-quality work standards.

Cleaning Oversight:
Supervise the cleaning of train interiors and exteriors, ensuring that all areas, including seating, flooring, windows, restrooms, and communal spaces, meet company and regulatory cleanliness standards.

Inventory Oversight:
Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory, promptly reporting any shortages or equipment issues to the Facilities Manager for resolution.

Quality Assurance:
Conduct regular inspections to verify that cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are consistently met, implementing corrective measures as necessary.

Training and Development:
Onboard new team members on cleaning protocols, safety measures, and equipment usage, while providing ongoing coaching to enhance their skills and performance.

Safety Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all safety guidelines and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.

Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, supply usage, and any incidents or issues, preparing reports for the Facilities Manager as required.

Customer Engagement:
Collaborate with other departments to address cleanliness-related customer feedback, ensuring a positive experience for passengers.

About You:
Candidates must possess the right to work in the UK. Proven experience in a similar supervisory role is essential, along with knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and techniques. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to high cleanliness standards are required. Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and weekends, is necessary, as is familiarity with safety regulations and the ability to enforce them.
