About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Domestic Supervisor to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Domestic Services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across our hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the cleaning team to ensure that all areas of the hospital are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures to meet the needs of our patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Monitor and control the usage and storage of cleaning consumables, ensuring their safe and secure storage and requisition additional stocks as required.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all areas of the hospital meet the required standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Develop and implement effective induction programs for new staff members.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, quality control checks, and staff training.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that cleaning services are aligned with their needs and requirements.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns to management.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a cleaning or healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of National Standards of Cleanliness 2021 and health and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic data inputting skills and basic numeracy and literacy skills.
