About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Sanctuary Group. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of Housekeeping Assistants to ensure that our residential care home maintains a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of Housekeeping Assistants to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Monitor and maintain the condition of all areas of the care home, including bedrooms, communal areas, and outdoor spaces
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are maintained and stored properly
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that cleaning schedules and procedures are aligned with their needs
  • Provide training and support to Housekeeping Assistants to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties

Requirements

  • Previous experience of providing housekeeping services in a residential care setting
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Knowledge of infection control and cleaning procedures
  • NVQ / QCF Level 2 qualified in Catering and in Housekeeping or equivalent
