Night Domestic Supervisor Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Domestic Supervisor to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Domestic Services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across our hospitals.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the cleaning team to ensure that all areas of the hospital are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures to meet the needs of our patients, staff, and visitors.
- Monitor and control the usage and storage of cleaning consumables, ensuring their safe and secure storage and requisition additional stocks as required.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all areas of the hospital meet the required standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Provide training and guidance to cleaning staff on the use of equipment and chemicals, and ensure that all staff are properly instructed and trained in the use of standard operating methods.
- Manage and coordinate the team's workload, including arranging cover for absences and untoward incidents, and facilitating adjustments to work schedules as needed.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and visitors to ensure that the highest standards of customer care are maintained.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that the hospital's cleaning services are delivered in accordance with best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Previous cleaning experience at a supervisory level, preferably within a healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic data inputting skills, with the ability to use a computer or tablet.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to understand and interpret data and reports.
- Ability to work as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Prepared to study for NVQ level 3 in leadership, and ability and willingness to undertake further training as necessary.
