Domestic Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Domestic Supervisor to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Domestic Services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across our hospitals.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the cleaning team to ensure that all areas of the hospital are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Monitor and maintain the National Standards of Cleanliness 2021, ensuring that all staff are aware of and adhere to these standards.
- Coordinate and supervise the cleaning of all areas of the hospital, including wards, departments, and public areas.
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment and chemicals are used safely and in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
- Monitor and report any issues or concerns related to cleaning or safety to the line manager.
- Provide training and guidance to cleaning staff on cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicals.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that cleaning standards are maintained.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and rotas to ensure that all areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that cleaning schedules are aligned with their needs.
- Monitor and control the usage and storage of cleaning consumables, ensuring that they are used safely and efficiently.
- Report any accidents or incidents related to cleaning or safety to the line manager.
- NVQ Level 3 in Leadership or equivalent.
- Previous cleaning experience at a supervisory level.
- Previous experience of cleaning in a healthcare environment.
- Understanding of National Standards of Cleanliness 2021.
- Health and safety basic knowledge.
- An understanding of regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic data inputting skills.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
