About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at HMP Isle of Wight. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing, planning, and delivering care and therapeutic interventions to patients with complex and/or unstable healthcare needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to develop personalized care plans
  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions to promote patients' independence, mobility, and overall well-being
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust care plans as needed
  • Document patient interactions, progress, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner

Requirements

  • Diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy and registered with the HCPC
  • Experience working in a hospital, community, or prison environment (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
