About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at HMP Isle of Wight. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing, planning, and delivering care and therapeutic interventions to patients with complex and/or unstable healthcare needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to develop personalized care plans
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to promote patients' independence, mobility, and overall well-being
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Conduct regular reviews of care plans to ensure patients' needs are met
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
Requirements
- Diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy and registered with the HCPC
- Experience working in a hospital, community, or prison environment (desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
