Position Overview

Role:

As a Housing Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing essential services to individuals experiencing homelessness. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of support activities aimed at assisting vulnerable households.

To excel in this position, you should possess prior experience in a housing support environment, particularly with clients facing challenging circumstances. A solid understanding of relevant legislation and current issues regarding the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults is essential.

Proficiency in various IT applications, including the Academy system and Microsoft Office Suite, is required. You must demonstrate effective organizational skills, enabling you to prioritize tasks efficiently and adapt to the dynamic needs of service delivery.

Excellent communication abilities are vital, as you will need to engage with multiple agencies and stakeholders effectively.

The organization is dedicated to enhancing the skills and competencies of its housing personnel. As part of your role, you will be expected to pursue additional training and qualifications, including those mandated by the Scottish Social Services Council for professionals in the housing support sector.
