Housing Officer Care and Support Specialist

About the Role:
Nacro is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Officer Care and Support Specialist to join our team. As a Housing Officer Care and Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 16 and 17 years old at risk of homelessness, as well as care leavers aged 18-21.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of potential or actual service users, identifying risks and needs to provide tailored support.
- Maintain regular contact with service users, fostering professional relationships and serving as a positive role model.
- Perform risk assessments and take necessary actions to ensure service users' safety, including personal safety.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external groups and agencies to support service users' needs.
- Respond promptly to internal or external complaints, addressing anti-social behavior and reporting any risks.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with vulnerable populations, including young people at risk of homelessness.
- Strong assessment and risk management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with external agencies and groups.
