About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of highly complex oncology patients within the chemotherapy unit and outpatient setting
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) working, meetings, audit, and research
  • Support other dietitians working with oncology patients in the inpatient setting
  • Liaise with neighboring trusts to support transfer of patients
  • Provide cover for Macmillan and Advanced dietitians during periods of leave
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics
  • Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration – dietitian
  • Good communication skills in range formats and settings
  • Managing patients with complex needs
  • Ability to work as a team member including working within an MDT
