Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Advisor to join our team at McGregor Boyall. As an HR Advisor, you will play a key role in providing effective HR advisory and administration to our clients, assisting the HR People Manager in delivering the HR strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and develop managers in matters of employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance issues, working with the Trade Union.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies and processes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the administration of employment records and related documents, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Support HR Projects, including recruitment and selection, induction training, and data management.
  • Deliver induction training for new starters, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
  • Assist with all aspects of recruitment and selection, including candidate sourcing and interview coordination.
  • Serve as the primary contact for managers and employees across all people matters, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Maintain data and management of the HRIS, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Produce Management Information (MI) reports, providing insights and recommendations to improve HR processes.

Requirements:

  • Experience within a HR role, HR Advisory or Officer, within a busy working environment.
  • Excellent understanding of employment law, including relevant laws and regulations.
  • Good understanding of employee relation matters, including disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Exposure to Unions and TUPE, with the ability to navigate complex employment law issues.
  • HR operational experience, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
  • High attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
