About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Housekeeper to join our team at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and tidy working environment for patients and staff.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment for patients and staff.
  • Provide non-clinical support to the ward team.
  • Work as a member of the Estates & Facilities Department.
  • Ensure Infection Control guidelines are adhered to.
  • Work as needed within wards at the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic NHS Foundation Trust.

Requirements

  • Level 2 award in food safety (or willingness to complete).
  • Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Level 2 Customer Care.
  • Basic Numeracy skills required.
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
  • Knowledge of health & safety guidelines in a work environment.
  • Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to follow written instructions /read notices and complete records.
  • Previous experience in a cleaning or hospitality role.
