About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Operations Assistant to join our Finance Team at International Procurement and Logistics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial support and analysis to ensure the smooth operation of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce weekly and monthly sales and inventory reporting analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels to minimize losses.
  • Ensure accurate product costings and exchange rates are agreed and submitted to stakeholders.
  • Regularly review and correct PO inputs, using checker reports to identify and rectify errors.
  • Ensure timely PO closure and perform necessary housekeeping tasks.
  • Post month-end journals for the Management Accountant and verify accuracy.
  • Produce monthly general ledger balance sheet reconciliations and monitor postings.
  • Maintain accurate weekly and monthly reporting data in central databases.
  • Review and correct old POs causing accounting inaccuracies and investigate related profit provisions.
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure accuracy of cost cubes and PO accuracy.
  • Ensure forecast integrity by reviewing spreadsheets for retail changes, promotional volumes, new products, and prices.
  • Verify master data accuracy, including WIN numbers, descriptions, selling prices, and historical metrics.
  • Support the Management Accountant in accurate forecasting and overhead accruals by resolving proactive queries.
  • Understand and resolve pricing queries with stakeholders.
  • Produce ad-hoc management information using PR2 and Retail Lin.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and external standards.

Requirements

  • A motivated individual with a desire to complete relevant accounting qualifications (e.g., AAT or CIMA).
  • Advanced analytical and Excel skills.
  • Experience working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills with the ability to build relationships.
  • A resilient attitude with a desire to influence others and complete tasks.
  • Experience in people management and working in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
