Our client is seeking an Azure Operations Engineer to play a pivotal role within their Business Systems department. In this position, you will oversee the daily management and administration of their Azure cloud infrastructure, support improvement initiatives, and ensure the seamless operation of their cloud environment.

The team is compact and cohesive, consisting of a diverse array of professionals. They provide multi-tier support for network and IT services while managing the execution of IT projects and data engineering services.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure to guarantee optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with external partners to implement cloud-based solutions that align with organizational needs.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within the Azure environment.
  • Recommend and support enhancement projects aimed at optimizing cloud infrastructure.
  • Manage helpdesk service level agreements (SLA) to ensure prompt and effective issue resolution.
  • Stay informed about the latest cloud technologies to keep the infrastructure current.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for the team to enhance their understanding of Azure and cloud management.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Microsoft AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals certification.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure cloud technologies and systems.
  • 1-2 years of experience in administering and managing cloud-based networks.
  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with VM configuration and deployment within Azure.
  • Proficiency in managing organizational file storage using Azure Files.

Desirable Skills:
  • Familiarity with advanced Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Experience with ITIL implementation.
  • Experience with Intune laptop deployment.
  • Physical network management experience.
  • Line management or team leadership experience.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently.
  • Proactive and eager to learn and grow in the field of cloud management.
  • Well-presented with excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrates strong customer service and a professional telephone manner.

Note: This role requires a completed DBS check before starting.
