About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Teams, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality services to children and young people across Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver early intervention and support to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, young people, and their families to provide advice, consultation, and training to staff within schools and other agencies.
  • Develop and implement the Whole School Approach to mental health wellbeing in school settings and the community.
Requirements
  • Registered and qualified as an EMHP, CWP, or with a core profession.
  • Evidence of further professional development post-qualification.
  • Clinical experience of working with children and young people with common mental health difficulties and behavioral needs.
  • Competent in risk assessment and management.
  • Experience of working in an educational-based setting.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism and ADHD.
