Position Overview

Are you a qualified Dietitian with a passion for bariatric care? We are seeking a dedicated Band 6 Dietitian to join our esteemed team at Swansea Bay University Health Board, focusing on Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery.

This is a permanent, full-time role, offering a flexible working environment.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess a strong interest in weight management and behavioral modification. Experience in multidisciplinary team collaboration is essential.

As part of our specialized team, you will provide comprehensive support to patients preparing for bariatric surgery, as well as monitor their recovery post-operation, under the guidance of a senior Dietitian.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
  • HCPC Registration
  • Post-registration training in a relevant area

Knowledge

  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge at Band 5 level
  • Documented evidence of continuing professional development

Experience

  • Experience in service delivery across various clinical settings post-HCPC registration
  • Experience working with patients with diverse healthcare needs
  • Experience in training students
  • Experience in facilitating educational programs for patients or staff

Skills

  • Strong communication skills with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Group presentation abilities
  • Capability to work independently with patients
  • Skills in evaluation and audit

Personal Attributes

  • Able to adapt to unpredictable work patterns and manage frequent interruptions, prioritizing tasks based on patient and service needs
