Role Overview:
We are currently embarking on an exciting journey to establish a new Retail Media network in the UK. To support this initiative, we are seeking professionals in Media Strategy to help implement and manage innovative media solutions for our key suppliers. This role is pivotal in fostering supplier relationships and creating media strategies that prioritize customer engagement while achieving internal objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of media strategies for supplier partners, utilizing various media channels.
  • Collaborate closely with the Buying team to ensure alignment of media strategies with the company's commercial goals.
  • Assume full commercial responsibility for media initiatives with supplier partners.
  • Develop and present compelling media strategies that align with promotional objectives and supplier goals.
  • Manage a commercial budget by building a pipeline and overseeing the business-to-business purchasing cycle.
  • Serve as the primary expert on Ocado Retail, guiding suppliers on effective customer engagement strategies.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the retail media transformation roadmap.
  • Cultivate strong, trusting relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in online trading.
  • Familiarity with retail media strategies, FMCG, and/or agency environments.
  • A strong enthusiasm for retail media and a commitment to contributing to a broader transformation agenda.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with suppliers.
  • A credible professional capable of instilling confidence among various stakeholders.
  • Commercially savvy, with experience in sales and negotiation.
  • Ability to navigate complex situations and embrace uncertainty.
  • Proficient in communicating data and insights clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Detail-oriented, resilient, and able to perform under pressure.
