Position Overview
As a vital member of our Marketing & Communications team, the Social Media & PR Executive will collaborate closely with the Social Media Manager and Media Manager to craft, schedule, and disseminate engaging social media and public relations content. This role is pivotal in enhancing our digital footprint by exploring new platforms, experimenting with innovative ideas, and staying informed about the latest trends and developments in social media.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing Affinity Water's social media channels, contributing to the planning and execution of campaigns aimed at achieving specific objectives and regulatory commitments.
- Generate captivating content, including visuals and written posts, blogs, articles, and press releases that resonate with our audience.
- Analyze social media and PR metrics, compiling reports that evaluate the effectiveness of partnerships, influencer initiatives, events, and other outreach activities.
- Engage with customer feedback and comments across social media platforms to foster community relations.
- Perform administrative duties, including generating purchase orders and obtaining necessary approvals for expenditures.
- Collaborate with various departments and creative partners to develop a cohesive and impactful social media and PR strategy.
- Ensure the implementation of a consistent UTM strategy for campaign tracking and measurement in conjunction with analytics teams.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in social media and PR, sharing insights and innovations with the team.
- Maintain Affinity Water's brand identity and messaging across all social media platforms to ensure consistency and alignment with corporate objectives.
- Implement social media campaigns focused on influencing customer behavior and enhancing brand visibility.
- Support internal teams with community engagement and notifications regarding local initiatives.
- Contribute to the overall reputation management strategy as it pertains to social media and PR.
- Exhibit a strong desire to learn and grow in digital marketing areas such as SEM, SEO, and video content.
- Ensure compliance with all content and messaging standards.
- Occasionally represent the Social Media and PR team at off-site events or site visits to create content.
- Assist the Social Media Manager in developing a crisis response toolkit to effectively address customer needs during emergencies.
- Participate in a reactive crisis communications team, prepared to respond to urgent situations as they arise.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with various social media platforms, including TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
- Proven experience in audience targeting and segmentation, contributing valuable insights to social asset production.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Understanding of social media strategies, algorithms, and content types.
- Exceptional copywriting abilities and effective time management skills.
- Capability to create multimedia content, including images and videos.
- Experience in managing agency partnerships and familiarity with social media KPIs and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and web traffic analytics.
