Role Overview:

We are excited to announce a rewarding career opportunity for a seasoned Procurement Specialist to enhance our purchasing and inventory management operations at Glasdon UK Limited, Blackpool.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of a multi-million-pound inventory across various warehouse locations.
  • Fostering supplier relationships.
  • Engaging with a broad spectrum of suppliers in both UK and international manufacturing sectors.
  • Conducting supplier negotiations.
  • Providing daily support within the dynamic Purchasing and Inventory Management teams.
  • Collaborating with all departments within the organization.
  • Forecasting demand and planning inventory.
  • Working closely with the in-house supply chain, including Research and Development, Product Design, Quality Assurance, and Sales.
  • Processing purchasing requisitions.
  • Managing stock using an internal commercial system.

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Self-driven, confident, and proactive.
  • Commercially astute.
  • A collaborative team player.
  • Understanding of the supply chain process.
  • Familiarity with commercial software systems.
  • Proficient IT, literacy, numerical, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • University Degree (2.1 or above).
  • CIPS qualified or willing to pursue CIPS qualification with support.
