About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join the purchasing and stock control functions at GLASDON LTD. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for controlling a multi-million-pound stock holding across multiple warehouse facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Liaise with a wide range of suppliers within the UK and overseas manufacturing sectors.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible prices and terms.
  • Support the purchasing and stock control departments with day-to-day activities.
  • Collaborate with the in-house supply chain team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Process purchasing requisitions and manage stock levels using commercial systems.

About You:

  • You have a genuine interest in procurement practices and a strong understanding of the supply chain process.
  • You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are self-motivated, confident, and proactive, with a commercial awareness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • You hold a University Degree (2.1 or above) and are CIPS qualified or willing to undergo study support towards a CIPS qualification.
