About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at GLASDON LTD. As a key member of our purchasing and stock control functions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control of a multi-million-pound stock holding across multiple warehouse facilities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Liaise with a wide range of suppliers within the UK and overseas manufacturing sectors.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible prices and terms.
  • Provide day-to-day support within the busy Purchasing and Stock Control departments.
  • Inter-departmental liaison with all departments within the Company.
  • Demand forecasting and inventory planning.
  • Collaboration with the in-house supply chain (Research and Development, Product Design, QA and Sales).
  • Processing of Purchasing Requisitions.
  • Stock management using an in-house commercial system.

About You:

  • You have a genuine interest in procurement practices.
  • You possess well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • You are self-motivated, confident, and proactive.
  • You are commercially aware.
  • You are an effective team player.
  • You have knowledge of the supply chain process.
  • You are familiar with commercial computer systems.
  • You have good IT, literacy, numerical and analytical skills.
  • You have excellent attention to detail.
  • You are able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • You hold a University Degree (2.1 or above).
  • You are CIPS qualified or willing to undergo study support towards a CIPS qualification.
