Deputy Chief Nursing Officer Job Opportunity

HCA Healthcare UK is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious professional leader to join our team as Deputy Chief Nursing Officer (DCNO). As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting excellence in clinical governance and risk management.

About the Role:

  • Provide clinical leadership for The Lister Hospital and our outpatient centres, ensuring high-quality patient care and experience.
  • Support the Chief Nursing Officer in delivering improvements in quality and safety, and promote a culture of excellence in clinical care and professional standards.
  • Lead by example in training and developing your team, and develop and implement engagement, recruitment, and retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with our Consultant community to build strong relationships and promote the exceptional reputation of The Lister Hospital.

Requirements:

  • Nursing Qualification - RN or RN(Child) with valid NMC registration.
  • 10 years post-registration experience in nursing, with at least 5 years experience as a Matron / Head of Nursing / Deputy Chief Nurse or equivalent level.
  • First degree in nursing or health-related subject.
  • Mentorship or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of audit and research relevant to specialism.
  • Experience of safeguarding processes, with level 3/4 Safeguarding training.
  • Experience of clinical governance and managing risk essential.
