About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join our team at the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). As a Senior Lawyer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our screening decisions, providing expert advice on complex cases, and overseeing the work of the Screening team.

About the Team

The Screening team is the first point of contact for concerns raised about our registrants, and as a Senior Lawyer, you will be responsible for considering these concerns, advising on regulatory action, and ensuring that our decisions are fair, transparent, and in line with our guidance and legal authorities.

Successful candidates will be appointed to a particular NMC Office, but you may be required to travel to other NMC locations, which are reasonable daily commutes from your home office. We offer an annual review of salaries and adopt a generous progressive pay approach. We are in the process of introducing a vetting policy, and it is possible that this role may become subject to DBS and further vetting checks in future.
