Within this team, the Marine Systems Group, specifically the Machinery Trials and Assessment Unit, is responsible for overseeing evaluations of new builds, refurbishments, and existing vessels. This includes critical areas such as energy generation, propulsion systems, and essential services that are vital for maintaining a ship's operational readiness.

  • Carrying out Final Installation Inspections (FII)

In addition, you will be responsible for managing trial documentation, refining procedures based on practical experience, advising on trial schedules, and providing technical feedback to relevant teams.

If you possess an analytical mindset, hold an engineering qualification or relevant experience, have a Full UK Manual Driving licence, and are physically fit for sea evaluations, you may be an excellent candidate for this rewarding role that offers opportunities for professional development.

With a competitive salary of £35,290, alongside pension contributions and various benefits, a career within the UK Civil Service can be both fulfilling and enriching. Enjoy flexible working arrangements, opportunities for professional growth, and access to on-site facilities while contributing to a meaningful mission.
