Job Overview

This role offers an opportunity to be part of the Marine Management Organisation (MMO), a key player in marine governance, focusing on the sustainable management of marine resources.

Position Details

The MMO is currently enhancing its capabilities as an independent coastal authority, with a renewed emphasis on safeguarding and improving the marine ecosystem. The organisation is responsible for licensing, regulating, and planning marine activities in English waters to ensure they are conducted sustainably.

Since the adoption of the first marine plans in 2014, the MMO has been actively involved in the development and implementation of marine strategies across various regions. The successful candidates will report to a Higher Executive Officer (HEO) and will play a crucial role in the formulation, execution, and assessment of marine plans. This recruitment is for two positions: one on a fixed-term basis in the North East and another as a permanent role in the South.
