Senior Clinical Practitioner in Emergency Care

Position Overview: We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a Full-time Senior Clinical Practitioner in Emergency Care at our facility. This role operates on an 80/20 job plan, allowing for 80% clinical responsibilities and 20% dedicated to professional development and support activities. You will join a dedicated team, currently consisting of qualified practitioners and trainees, to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical expertise in assessing and diagnosing patients presenting to Emergency Care.
- Support the medical team, trainees, and service provision through education, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage actively in the development of trainees, facilitating their learning and professional growth.
- Participate in various departmental activities, including clinics and ward support.
Trainee Development: If a qualified practitioner is not available, we may consider a trainee position at Band 7. Trainees will be required to enroll in an approved ACP Apprenticeship or e-portfolio route, working towards qualification over a specified period, with an expectation of achieving Band 8a status upon completion.
Clinical Excellence: Demonstrate high-level clinical skills in patient assessment and diagnosis, while understanding the complexities and risks involved in acute care.
Leadership and Teamwork: Foster effective relationships within multidisciplinary teams, promoting clarity of roles and enhancing collaborative working.
Continuous Improvement: Evaluate personal practice and engage in team assessments to demonstrate the impact of advanced clinical practice on service delivery and patient outcomes.
