Position Overview:
Barchester Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Capital Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this multifaceted role, you will play a crucial part in the daily financial management and reporting of capital expenditures across our extensive network of care facilities and hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the processing of capital and significant revenue requests.
- Accurately record and monitor requests within the designated budgets.
- Track the progress of capital expenditure and major revenue requests in the approval system, ensuring they follow the correct procedures.
- Ensure timely and precise processing of capital invoices into the financial system, confirming that all necessary authorizations and checks are in place.
- Address supplier inquiries and resolve issues as they arise.
- Reconcile statements from capital suppliers to maintain accurate records.
- Support the maintenance and organization of various equipment registers.
- File all relevant documentation systematically.
- Prepare necessary information for the Capital Expenditure Committee.

Essential Qualifications:
- Fundamental understanding of accounting principles and systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines effectively.
