Position Overview:
Barchester Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Capital Finance Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This pivotal role involves the coordination, oversight, and generation of financial data for the Group's capital expenditure operations.

About the Role:
As our portfolio of care facilities and hospitals continues to grow across the UK, this position is essential in fostering the ongoing commercial success of over 260 care homes nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the Barchester CapEx approval system and lead the Capital Team.
2. Ensure robust financial controls and procedures are established for the processing of capital invoices.
3. Maintain and update the Group Fixed Asset Registers, including disposals and capitalisation of vehicles.
4. Prepare Fixed Asset Grids and oversee financial management of significant capital projects, including new developments.
5. Supervise the preparation of the Group capital budgets and report weekly to Operational Teams.
6. Compile monthly Capital & Development Reports and account for annual property revaluations.
7. Prepare fixed asset disclosures for statutory accounts and liaise with external audit and tax teams.
8. Complete Capital Expenditure National Statistics Returns.

Required Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a multi-site organization is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, coupled with strong communication skills.
- Proficient in internal systems and Microsoft Office.
