Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Barchester CapEx approval system and lead the Capital Team.
  • Ensure robust financial controls and procedures are maintained for capital invoice payments.
  • Maintain and update the Group Fixed Asset Registers, including disposals and capitalizations.
  • Prepare Fixed Asset Grids and manage financial oversight of major capital projects.
  • Oversee the development of Group capital budgets and report weekly to Operational Teams.
  • Prepare monthly Capital & Development Reports and account for annual property revaluations.
  • Compile fixed asset disclosures for statutory accounts and prepare materials for CapEx Committee meetings.
  • Collaborate with external audit and tax teams, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Complete Capital Expenditure National Statistics Returns.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
  • Experience in a multi-site organization is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in internal systems and Microsoft Office.
