Required qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Qualified accountant (CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent
- Previous experience in a multi-site organization is preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with excellent communication skills
- Proficient in internal systems and Microsoft Office

Key responsibilities:
- Management of the Barchester capital expenditure approval system and the Capital Team
- Ensuring robust financial controls and procedures are established for capital invoice payments
- Maintenance and updates to the Group Fixed Asset Registers, including disposals and capitalizations
- Preparation of Fixed Asset Grids
- Financial oversight of major capital projects, including new developments
- Supervising the creation of the Group capital budgets
- Weekly reporting of capital budget status to Operational Teams
- Monthly preparation of Capital & Development Reports
- Accounting for annual property valuations
- Preparation of fixed asset disclosures for statutory accounts
- Coordination of information for CapEx Committee meetings
- Liaising with external audit and tax teams
- Completion of Capital Expenditure National Statistics Returns
