Location: Battersea, SW11

Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week, spanning five days including weekends)

Store Hours:

10am - 8pm Monday to Saturday

10am - 6pm Sunday

Borough Kitchen, a renowned retailer specializing in high-quality cooking tools and products for home entertaining, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to lead our new location in Battersea.

As the Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer experiences, overseeing inventory management, mentoring team members, and driving sales performance. You will report directly to one of our Directors and work in a setting that prioritizes quality, functionality, and durability, while also contributing to a culture that embodies these principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Motivate and guide a skilled team of 6 Sales Associates and an Assistant Manager to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Achieve sales targets through effective training, motivation, and feedback for sales personnel, alongside comprehensive product training
  • Plan staffing levels and schedules based on employee availability and business requirements
  • Educate, coach, and develop staff in product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques
  • Oversee team performance, including conducting performance evaluations
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure stock accuracy
  • Address customer concerns in a satisfactory and cost-effective manner
  • Supervise merchandising and product placement within the store
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace by encouraging teamwork, communication, and collaboration
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations as well as company policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of proven experience as a successful retail manager
  • A true enthusiasm for cooking and entertaining
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team to meet sales goals and deliver outstanding customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capability to manage inventory and stock control effectively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
