About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Academy Assistant Manager to join our team at Mind Retail. As a key member of our store management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our charity shops and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Shop Manager in the day-to-day running of the shop, including managing stock, processing sales, and maintaining shop standards.
  • Take full responsibility for the shop's performance while the Shop Manager is away, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Work closely with the team to achieve sales targets, improve customer satisfaction, and maintain a positive and inclusive store environment.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to increase sales, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with the Shop Manager to plan and implement visual merchandising displays, promotions, and events to drive sales and engagement.
  • Contribute to the development of the team, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure that all staff members are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
